Charles Krypell started out as a sculptor studying at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. The artist is from New York and had always had a passion for three dimensional media, and mainly stone; however, he eventually switched over to making jewelry because of its smaller size and craft. Now Krypell has been creating jewelry for over three decades and has invented a bunch of classic pieces. Recently, the designer’s son, Evan Krypell, released a collection of belts that reflect a lot of his father’s work but are still unique, and cost over $1,000.

Evan Krypell has just recently joined the company after graduating from college and immediately jumped in with this collection already rolling out. His goal was to combine the inspiration he found from his father’s metalworking techniques while incorporating his own Americana design inspired twist.

The collection features nine different artisan belts that feature multiple buckle types to choose between and certain models even offering sapphire and ruby accents. The base price for these belts is $1,490 but go even higher for the ones with ruby and sapphire or an 18 karat gold belt buckle. The belt buckles can also be upgraded even more with the optional addition of gemstones or diamonds.

The family has always cared about having a fine attention for detail and making sure their products are nothing less of the best. All of Krypell’s products are made using the best tanneries available and even their packaging is extremely nice; everything comes in a wooden box branded with the designer’s logo.

The Artisan Belt collection is still fresh on the market and definitely worth checking out because Krypell products are top quality. The belts come in tons of different styles so feel free to check out the full collection on their website here.
